Food and Drug Administration - Also known as the FDA, the Food and Drug Administration is the U.S. government agency (within the U.S. Public Health Service) that administers laws on the manufacture, sale, use, and safety of food, drugs, medical devices, cosmetics, and other products. All commercial drugs used in the treatment of cancer and other diseases must be approved by the FDA.
