Faslodex^®

Faslodex^® - The brand name of the generic drug fulvestrant, Faslodex^® is a type of hormone therapy. Faslodex^® is used in treating hormone receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women whose cancer has recurred, or who have already been treated with a different type of antiestrogen medication. Since hormone receptor-positive breast cancers need estrogen to grow, Faslodex^® makes it more difficult for estrogen to bind to cancerous cells. Faslodex^® is administered by injection.
