Echocardiogram - A noninvasive, diagnostic heart test which uses high-frequency ultrasound waves directed over the chest wall to produce images of the heart, including its position and movement. An echocardiogram can help detect blood clots and gain insight into the condition of the heart muscle and valves, such as abnormalities.
