Cytoreductive Therapy

Cytoreductive Therapy - Therapy to debulk, or reduce the size of, a cancerous tumor. Surgery and radiation therapy are two common cytoreductive treatments used to debulk tumors. Debulking means to remove as much of the cancer as possible. Debulking surgery is a common treatment option for some patients with advanced stage ovarian cancer.
