Cultures - Laboratory processes that involve the growth of microorganisms in a controlled environment, often with a primary goal of aiding in medical diagnosis. When an individual undergoes testing for cancer or infection, organisms found in blood, urine, stool, sputum (fluid produced in the lungs), or tissue samples can be grown and analyzed in a laboratory culture.
