Bone Marrow Aspiration - The removal and examination of a small sample of bone marrow (typically from the hip or breast bone) through a needle, usually with the intention to check for cancer. A bone marrow aspiration is similar to a biopsy, in which a sample of tissue is removed and examined it under a microscope to determine if a growth is benign or cancerous.
