Biological Response Modifiers - Also known as BRMs, biological response modifiers are synthetic and/or natural substances that improve the performance of the body's immune system. Examples include interferons, interleukins, monoclonal antibodies, hormones, and more. In cancer treatment, BRM therapy (also known as immunotherapy, biotherapy, or biological therapy) is used to stimulate the immune system to fight cancer and/or to lessen treatment-related side effects.
