Antiemetic - A drug used to help prevent, reduce or control nausea and vomiting. As one of the most common (and unpleasant) side effects of chemotherapy is nausea/vomiting (also called chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, or CINV), an antiemetic is often administered to minimize the frequency and/or severity of this side effect.
