Alopecia - The medical term for hair loss. Alopecia is a common side effect of some cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy. Certain image enhancement techniques can help people fighting cancer better prepare for, and cope with, the effects of alopecia. For instance, tips for grooming and dress can help minimize the appearance of hair loss and/or help with body image issues.
