Adjuvant Chemotherapy - This type of chemotherapy treatment is a secondary treatment given after the primary treatment (e.g., surgery, radiation therapy). The primary goal of adjuvant chemotherapy is to kill any remaining cancerous cells and/or to help prevent the cancer from coming back (recurring).
