Acute Granulocytic Leukemia - Also called acute non-lymphocytic leukemia, acute myelogenous leukemia, acute myelocytic leukemia, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute granulocytic leukemia is a form of blood cancer that starts inside the bone marrow (the soft tissue in the bones that helps form blood cells). Acute granulocytic leukemia is one of the most common types of leukemia among adults. Typically, it occurs in men more often than women.
