Absolute Neutrophil Count - Sometimes known as absolute granulocyte count (AGC), absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is the absolute number of neutrophils in the blood. You can figure out your ANC by multiplying the total number of white blood cells (WBCs) by the percentage of neutrophils ("neuts"). An individual's absolute neutrophil count is a direct measurement of his or her ability to combat infection.
