Laparoscopy for gallbladder cancer

What is a laparoscopy?

This technique, which is performed under general anesthesia, allows your doctor to look more closely at the gallbladder and surrounding organs. For this procedure, a narrow tube with a video camera on the end (laparoscope) is inserted into the abdomen through a small surgical incision.
