Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center houses some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources in cancer treatment.
We offer sophisticated imaging technology, including wide-bore CT fluoroscopy, PET/CT scanning, MRI, ultrasound imaging, and mammography, a 24–hour chemotherapy infusion center and a world-class interventional pulmonology program.
Our Lung Center team performs navigational and fluorescence bronchoscopy procedures. Our Radiation Oncology Department offers precise external beam radiation therapy technologies, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and TomoTherapy® Highly Integrated Adaptive Radiotherapy (HI-ART). Southwestern also provides advanced internal radiation therapy options, such as TheraSphere®, for cancers that have spread to the liver, Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI), and High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancers.
Furthermore, Southwestern is the first medical center in Oklahoma to offer hyperthermia. With this FDA-approved treatment, therapeutic heat is applied in conjunction with radiation to destroy tumors. Hyperthermia may be a treatment option for radiation therapy patients at Southwestern who have recurring cancer in the chest wall, head and neck, prostate, sarcomas/soft tumors, or melanomas/other skin tumors.
As a patient at Southwestern, you will also have access to inpatient and outpatient services, a Nutrition Department, Naturopathic Medicine Department, Oncology Rehabilitation Department, and an on-site Pharmacy/Nutrition Shoppe. Our Pharmacy/Nutrition Shoppe stocks a full array of therapeutic vitamins, herbs and health foods. An image consultant is available in our full-service beauty salon for advice on hair replacement therapy and natural beauty products. We also have a Mind-Body Medicine Department, which provides stress management, relaxation therapy and private, family and group psychological counseling. We have chaplains on staff who provide spiritual support upon request. In addition, you and your family will have access to a variety of activities for cancer patients, outings and educational classes.
Southwestern offers a modern, self-service style dining room, in which we offer specially-prepared meals, including organic produce and natural meats for a wholesome, balanced diet. We also provide recipe cards featuring healthy dietary options. For the convenience of patients who come to us from outside of Tulsa, we offer comfortable guest rooms within the hospital, or suggestions for nearby lodging at discounted rates. Our Transportation Department will coordinate the details with you to bring you to and from the hospital.
