3D Conformal Radiation for Esophageal Cancer

Our cancer experts use computed tomography (CT) planning to image and reconstruct esophageal cancer tumors and surrounding esophageal tissue in three dimensions. This helps them to determine the tumor’s exact location and dimensions and allows them to plan precisely where multiple radiation beams will strike. The radiation is shaped exactly to the contour of the treatment area, avoiding nearby normal tissue.
