Hospitalist
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician who is board certified or board eligible in internal medicine, with a primary interest in hospitalist medicine.
At each of our hospitals, our hospitalists work with our medical, surgical and radiation oncologists to manage the comorbidities of both our inpatient and outpatient population.
As a CTCA hospitalist, you will function as the consulting physician, typically seeing no more than 15 patients a day. And, with a high nurse-to-patient ratio (most of whom have ONS certification), you will have more time to spend with those patients.
We offer you a unique opportunity to practice medicine in a truly integrated environment. We provide our patients with comprehensive cancer treatment, such as protocol chemotherapy with supportive therapies (e.g., naturopathy, mind-body medicine, nutritional support, oncology rehabilitation, spiritual counseling) to help patients experience a better quality of life.
Currently, our hospitalists work an eight-hour day shift, with an occasional weekend commitment. Our physicians have onsite offices, with responsibilities for both inpatient and clinic patients.
We use an Electronic Health Records system at all of our hospitals. With state-of-the-art technologies, including onsite IMRT/PET/CT and TomoTherapy®, you will have the tools you need to best serve our patient population.
