Radiation Oncologist

We are seeking a radiation oncologist to join our integrated team of cancer experts at our newest cancer hospital. The state-of-the-art, all-digital facility opens September 2012 in Newnan, Georgia, a growing suburb of Atlanta.

The ideal candidate for our radiation oncologist position will be board certified or board eligible. He or she should also have completed a radiation oncology residency.

Key technologies/tools utilized by our radiation oncology team include the following:

  • CT/RT large bore for simulation (with fluoroscopy and respiratory gating)
  • Varian Trilogy® with Stereotactic Radiosurgery, RapidArc and respiratory gating
  • TomoTherapy®
  • High-Dose Rate Brachytherapy

We offer you a unique opportunity to practice medicine in a truly integrated environment. We provide our patients with comprehensive cancer treatment. Conventional treatments such as IMRT and/or protocol chemotherapy are the foundation of our patients’ treatment plans. Supportive therapies (e.g., naturopathy, mind-body medicine, nutritional support, oncology rehabilitation, spiritual counseling) are offered to help patients experience a better quality of life.

Our physicians will have onsite offices and be assigned an advanced practice nurse to assist in patient management. You will have responsibilities for both inpatient and clinic patients. However, we will have a full-time hospitalist staff that will work in conjunction with you to manage patient outcomes.

We use an Electronic Health Records system at all of our hospitals. With technologies onsite such as PET/CT, Varian Trilogy® and TomoTherapy®, you will have the tools you need to best serve patients.
