More About CTCA
At Cancer Treatment Centers of America, we do one thing — fight cancer. All of our technology and people are focused on that one challenge. And we achieve this by treating the whole person — mind, body and spirit. As the first to take this approach, we are now recognized as pioneers, at the forefront of a movement to fight cancer more comprehensively.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America was founded in 1988 from a vision that began back in the ‘70s — a vision that there was a better model of care to be created, and that cancer patients needn’t be victims.
Like many great innovations, this vision came from a personal experience. When Richard J Stephenson’s mother Mary Brown Stephenson was stricken with cancer, he went on a mission to find the most effective and advanced treatment available. He was disappointed by what he found. While these world-class cancer treatment facilities focused on the clinical and technical aspects of cancer treatment, they ignored the multidisciplinary nature of the disease. Upon her death, Richard J Stephenson vowed to revolutionize cancer treatment, and so he founded Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
CTCA realizes the dream of our founder by recruiting the best and brightest oncologists, then challenging them to combine state-of-the-art medical, surgical and radiological treatments with supportive therapies such as nutrition, mind-body medicine and spirituality. This approach allows us to take the best possible care of our patients, while striving constantly to move the state of cancer treatment forward.
If you agree with this philosophy, if the idea of helping to shape the future of cancer care appeals to you, why not take the next step? Click Here to start what could be the next and most exciting phase of your career.
