At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), we care for our patients as though they were members of our own families. When you join CTCA, you too will be dedicated to delivering such unprecedented care.
Many of you have been affected by family or friends who have battled cancer. Some of you have fought that battle yourselves, and would now like to help others facing the fight. Your warmth and empathy can have a tremendous impact on countless lives. In addition, your help will allow our professional staff to spend more time with patients.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. They share a willingness to give and are committed to providing compassionate care. Because of their uplifting attitudes and generous spirits, our volunteers inspire everyone around them. They possess excellent interpersonal skills. Their warm personalities shine through their smiles. Our volunteers are upbeat, caring, energetic, and responsible. They work well with staff, lending assistance wherever and whenever needed. They have an eagerness to learn and grow through service.
Volunteer activities at CTCA range from direct contact with patients to behind-the-scenes projects. Many of the unique programs we offer are made possible because of our volunteers.
As a volunteer in our hospitals, you can choose your comfort level of interacting with patients and caregivers. You can work behind the scenes, with no patient interaction or limited patient contact. Or, you can visit and work directly with patients.
You do not need medical training. We will provide volunteer position-specific training.
