The Radiology & Imaging Department at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) uses sophisticated, minimally invasive diagnostic technology to detect cancer cells with precision and accuracy. This helps us develop a targeted treatment plan for each patient.
At CTCA, we evaluate your medical history and conduct comprehensive diagnostic testing to make treatment recommendations for your type and stage of cancer, as well as your individual and lifestyle needs. You’ll have a personalized treatment plan in-hand by the end of your appointment.
When you first visit our hospital, we will complete an array of diagnostic tests to accurately locate and stage the disease. Then, we’ll work with you and your caregivers to develop a comprehensive, fully integrated treatment plan for your type and stage of cancer.
We understand that waiting for test results can be stressful. On average, you’ll stay in our waiting room for 10 minutes before having a diagnostic test performed. And, you typically receive test results within a few hours.
Your entire care team has instant access to the results, allowing them to quickly and seamlessly coordinate care. Throughout your treatment, we will utilize advanced technology to track the disease and modify your treatment plan based on your response.
The following are just some of the imaging tools available at our hospital:
- Computed tomography (CT)
- PET/CT imaging
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Mammography and breast imaging
- Nuclear medicine imaging
In Imaging Services, we also perform interventional radiology procedures. Interventional radiology is a subspecialty of radiology, in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using imaging guidance.

A skilled, integrated team
The Department of Imaging Services works to ensure that imaging tests are performed with the highest degree of quality and accuracy, and that test results are delivered in a timely manner.
Our technologists have completed specialty training focusing on caring for oncology patients. They have excelled in their profession by earning advanced-level certifications related to their area of expertise.
We do everything we can to make your visit here as convenient and comfortable as possible. The diagnostic technologies we provide are all available within our hospital. For patients who want to relax during and after testing, you may find it helpful to consult a member of the pain management, mind-body medicine or spiritual support teams.
Once your treatment is complete, CTCA provides Survivorship Support, a comprehensive survivorship program. Even if it means traveling from home, many of our patients choose to have their follow-up visits at our hospital. When you come here for follow-up care, you will receive a full array of tests over the course of a few days.
