Physical therapist and certified lymphedema therapist, Dr. Kathryn Doran is the Manager of Oncology Rehabilitation at CTCA® at Eastern Regional Medical Center, and Chief of the Division of Rehabilitation Services for CTCA.
Dr. Doran earned a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, at Widener University in Chester, PA. She then attended Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in Phoenix, where she became a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT).
Prior to joining CTCA in July 2011, Dr. Doran worked as a physical therapist at hospitals and medical centers in Philadelphia and New Jersey. She later served for several years as the Program Coordinator of Lymphedema Services at a network of hospitals in Southern NJ. She was also a physical therapist and lymphedema therapist at an outpatient rehabilitation center in Southern NJ.
Dr. Doran has been a guest lecturer for Gilda’s Club of South Jersey since 2008, in which she has presented bi-annually on the role of physical therapists and lymphedema therapists in the care plans of people with different cancer types. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Young Professionals Network of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
