A registered and licensed dietitian, Joanna Myers Casale is a clinical oncology dietitian at CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center.
“My overall goal is to support my patients through their cancer treatments, helping to reduce side-effects and working to keeping their strength up. I also enjoy teaching my patients about foods that can support their immune system,” says Casale.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics & Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Prior to joining CTCA in 2011, Casale worked as a clinical dietitian at a behavioral health hospital in Philadelphia, and for several years prior at hospitals in Camden, NJ and Bristol, PA. She also worked at a rehabilitation facility in Cherry Hill, NJ. In each of these roles, Casale managed the nutritional care of patients.
Casale is also a board certified specialist in oncology nutrition by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
She is a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group.
