The Radiology department at Eastern Regional Medical Center utilizes the most advanced forms of external and internal radiation therapies, such as TomoTherapy® HI-ART, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and High-Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy to treat cancer.
The TomoTherapy® HI-ART system combines an advanced form of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), the accuracy of CT scanning technology and advanced tools for planning and delivering radiation therapy with one machine.
With TomoTherapy® HI-ART, the Radiation Therapy Team at Eastern can:

- Target tumors using built-in CT scanning to confirm the shape and position of the tumor seconds before your treatment begins
