Extended care: Spiritual support after your treatment ends
The pastoral care team is here for you from day one, throughout your care, and after treatment is complete. Once you return home, your chaplain is available by phone (upon your request) for spiritual support and counseling.
Our Journey of Hope® Program
CTCA also offers a spiritual outreach program and website for cancer patients and their families, regardless of where you go for treatment. The Our Journey of Hope® Program has several components. The website provides you and your family a spiritually supportive community, inspirational resources and access to spiritual support staff.
Specifically, the website offers weekly devotionals, monthly sermons, cancer survivor testimonials, prayer support, an opportunity to connect with other people battling cancer, and articles on the connection between faith and healing.
The pastoral care team at CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center aims to help you experience the highest quality of life possible. It’s about helping you find peace, joy and forgiveness during your cancer journey. And, there is another important component that is unmistakably felt throughout the hospital: hope.
“If people are looking for hope, this is the place to come,” says Rev. Barry.
