A hopeful and empowering environment
The Infusion Center is a positive and supportive environment. While you’re here, your nurses will try to make you as comfortable as possible and answer any questions you may have.
“We know our patients intimately. Our nurses build that relationship. And our patients are so upbeat and positive. They have such a good outlook. It just spills over onto the nurses. It’s like one big family,” says Rudzinski. “Our patients are so special to us. We wouldn’t have it any other way,” adds Stallings.
Not only do the infusion nurses form relationships with patients, patients also build friendships with each other. “The patients build a network of support from other patients here. It becomes like a second family for them. They can also participate in activities together at CTCA,” says Rudzinski.
Patient-centered care
At CTCA, patients comes first. The Infusion Center is an excellent example of this commitment.
“This is the only place that I’ve worked where we have been able to get the patients what they need. It is just so refreshing. Here, if it’s for the patient, and if it makes them more comfortable, we are able to get it. They give us the resources to do it here. It’s the philosophy of CTCA,” says Rudzinski.
