The Hematology Oncology Department at CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center (Eastern) provides advanced medical therapies for patients with various types and stages of hematologic disease.
The Hematologic Oncology Team
Eastern's hematologic oncology team, including six board certified hematologist oncologists, is dedicated to fighting hematologic malignancies with advanced and innovative medicine. They use leading treatment protocols, and think "outside the box,” to provide promising options and individualized care for each patient.
Your Individualized Treatment Plan
When you first visit the hospital, you’ll meet with the hematology team. Your doctor will review your medical records and determine if you need additional diagnostic testing, such as lab work or imaging tests.
Once you’ve completed any necessary testing, your doctor will meet with you, answer your questions, and present you with options. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that works for you.
In June 2013, the hospital will begin providing stem cell transplantation.
