A strong working relationship with fellow staff members and desire to expand her practice were two of the primary factors that drew Dr. Tara Morrison to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). “But nothing compares to their great vision of what cancer treatment should look like. I’m very excited to be a part of it," she says.
As both a general neurologist and neuro-oncologist, Dr. Morrison’s role at CTCA varies based on a patient’s diagnosis. She will be either one of the primary treating physicians, or consulted for assistance with treatment and management of neurological complications and issues.
A University of Ottawa, School of Medicine graduate, Dr. Morrison completed her residency in Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, followed by a fellowship in neuropathology at the University of North Carolina. Most recently, she was an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Brain and Spinal Tumor Center at Hahnemann University Hospital at Drexel University College of Medicine. She has also published numerous works and contributed to a variety of on-going research projects.
Dr. Morrison belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society for Neuro-Oncology, and the Philadelphia Neurological Society. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
