In 2011 and 2012, Dr. Wagner was recognized by Philadelphia magazine as a top doctor in interventional radiology. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology. His areas of expertise include interventional oncology, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease and musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and pulmonary interventions.

Before coming to CTCA, Dr. Wagner held several positions in hospitals and private practices in and around the
Over the course of his career, Dr. Wagner has authored articles in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, the Journal of the Pennsylvania Academy of Sciences, Radiology and the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography as well as a book chapter in Abrams’ Angiography. He has also delivered several lectures nationally.
Dr. Wagner describes his reason for joining CTCA: “I decided to join CTCA because I was attracted to the combination of providing highly advanced care and procedures in a truly multidisciplinary setting. After visiting [the hospital], I was impressed by the positive attitude and hope which echoed throughout CTCA.”
At CTCA, Dr. Wagner continually learns new techniques and advancements in medicine that can help his patients. He provides therapies such as TheraSphere®, chemoembolization, microwave ablation, radiofrequency ablation, coblation and vertebroplasty. Beginning August 2012, he will also be able to utilize NanoKnife®, a cutting-edge ablation technology, to destroy tumors.
According to Dr. Wagner, “CTCA is one of few institutions to currently offer lung radiofrequency ablation.” He adds, “Furthermore, we are one of only a few institutions in the country to offer coblation for painful spine tumors. I am also delighted about our developing TheraSphere program.”
