Aminah A. Keats is one of the dedicated naturopathic clinicians in the Naturopathic Medicine Department at CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center.
Keats earned a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She also completed a two-year residency in naturopathic oncology at CTCA at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.
Keats has traveled to Pretoria, South Africa with a team of medical professionals to educate communities on HIV and AIDS. She also participated in the development of a botanical garden in Pretoria, where she taught seniors in the community the uses of planted herbs.
In addition, Keats has led several patient discussion groups on natural therapies at Midwestern Regional Medical Center and Eastern Regional Medical Center, as well as the surrounding communities.
Keats earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Her studies included pre-medical coursework in biology, chemistry and physics. While studying in Atlanta, Keats also participated in botanical medicine and nutrition courses facilitated by a naturopathic doctor.
Keats is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Society of Integrative Oncology, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
