At CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center (Eastern), you and your caregivers will have access to a variety of cancer resources throughout your journey.

Cancer Fighter® Program

Cancer Fighter Program

You can become a member of the CTCA Cancer Fighter® Program. This program offers a community of support and encouragement for cancer survivors and their caregivers.

As a Cancer Fighter®, you will have access to a number of tools and resources that will provide you with strength, courage and hope in your journey with cancer.

Through the website, you can chronicle your experiences, find new recipes, ask a nutritionist a question, search for and post events, and interact with other Cancer Fighters on a message board. You can also find ways to support others who are fighting cancer—both at CTCA cancer hospitals and in your local communities.

CarePages

CarePages - connect share care

As a patient at Eastern, you’ll be able to stay in touch with friends and family through CarePages. A CarePage is your very own, free, easy-to-use Web page that allows you to stay connected with family and friends during treatment. It’s a great way to update your loved ones while you are receiving care and build a community of support.

Your personal CarePage contains many special features, allowing you to:

  • Privately interact with friends and family
  • Share news and provide status updates
  • Post and share photos in a photo gallery
  • Communicate with friends and family on a private message board

Through CancerCompassSM, you’ll discover an opportunity to connect with other people around the world who are going through similar situations. CancerCompassSM is a free online cancer community committed to offering people living with cancer a home. Here, you'll discover an extensive network of hope and support.

The CancerCompassSM online community contains many special features, allowing you to:

  • Communicate with others in a disease and interest-specific message board
  • Search for cancer information by cancer type
  • Read the latest news articles
  • Find links to additional cancer resources

Our Journey of Hope® Program

In recognizing the importance of spiritual support for patients battling disease, CTCA offers a spiritual outreach program and website, called Our Journey of Hope®. The program is open to cancer patients and their families, regardless of where they go for treatment.

The Our Journey of Hope® website offers inspirational resources, weekly devotionals, monthly sermons, cancer survivor testimonials, an opportunity to connect with other people battling cancer.

Another component of the program is lay ministry training. Pastoral and clinical staff from CTCA travel nationwide to provide (free of charge) training to church staff and congregants to help them become more effective in ministry to cancer patients and their families.
