CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center offers opportunities to learn about cancer-related topics, socialize with other patients and families, and participate in new activities.
During your visit, the Outpatient Accommodations Department will team up with other hospital departments, including Patient Education, Transportation, and the various complementary medicine departments, to offer classes and activities to you and your caregivers.
Activities
During treatment, you may want to participate in new hobbies and activities to help get your mind off cancer. CTCA provides the following activities to you and your caregivers throughout your visit:
- Nutrition-guided grocery shopping tours
- Historic Philadelphia shuttle bus tours
- Movie nights
- Arts and crafts activities
- Worship services
- Laughter Club
- Bingo
- Weekends trips to local sites (e.g., National Constitution Center, Academy of Natural Sciences, Adventure Aquarium)
