Advanced Diagnostics: Spiral CT
We use this method of CT scanning to generate detailed images of areas inside the body for cancer diagnosis.
In a spiral CT, a machine uses a continuous spiraling motion to take detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. Then, a computer linked to an X-ray machine generates a three-dimensional image of the body, including potential cancerous tumors.
Spiral CT scanning can acquire large volumes of data with speed and accuracy, while the patient stays in one position.
