Our cancer doctors use this imaging test to examine the bile ducts during an Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
In a cholangioscopy, we use a fiberoptic endoscope or cystoscope to determine if a patient’s bile ducts are blocked, narrowed or dilated. This test can be useful for patients with bile duct cancer, to look for abnormalities and help plan surgery.
