Gastroenterology DepartmentGastroenterology Department
Endoscopy and colonoscopy are minimally invasive, outpatient procedures that we use to help relieve symptoms and treat cancer in our patients. Listen to Dr. Leon Yoder, a gastroenterologist at CTCA, talk about these procedures.
Our Gastroenterology Department attends to the needs of all cancer patients at our hospitals. We specialize in different and minimally invasive treatments that allow us to treat tumors, as well as the troubling symptoms that often accompany cancer and its treatment.
Why We’re Different
The conventional thought is often if you can’t give a patient radiation, chemotherapy or surgery, you’re out of options. At our hospitals, we believe there’s always something you can do. We use some of the latest technologies to look at the gastrointestinal tract in a different and minimally invasive way. We also provide ablative treatments that allow us to treat more cancers and symptoms.
How We Support You
We give you options as soon as you arrive at our hospital. We’ll treat the everyday problems many cancer patients experience, like constipation or diarrhea. We also work with nutrition therapy to help support you in your dietary needs, and so you get the nourishment you need throughout treatment.
