What questions should I ask my oncologist about lung cancer?

Answered by: Glen J. Weiss, MD, MBA
Director of Clinical Research & Medical Oncologist

Video: Talk Cancer - Lung Cancer Questions

Dr. Weiss recommends that patients ask their physicians about their cancer types and stage, and whether they qualify for any available clinical trials. Patients should also ask what treatments are available, including surgery, radiation or chemotherapy, he says. If chemotherapy is recommended, ask whether it is administered orally or intravenously.
