Cancer Leading Cause of Death for Hispanics

According to The American Cancer Society, cancer is the number one leading cause of death among Hispanics. It's a reality Elena Roman knows firsthand, after seeing her grandmother battle breast cancer. "She showed me her radiation scar, which was pretty severe," said Roman. "For a kid to see that, not understanding what was going on with her, was pretty moving." Roman now works for the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa and is making it her mission to warn other Hispanics about seeking cancer screenings.
