In the summer of 2011, Terry Vitosh started having lower back problems. After receiving a series of treatments, doctors found a large mass in his pelvic region. Chemotherapy treatments didn’t help the situation. Terry and his wife, Jeanette, consulted with multiple hospitals -- some of which said Terry would lose his leg in the process of removing the mass -- to find the best course of action. Ultimately, Terry ended up at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla., where he underwent 40 hours of surgery in attempt to remove the tumor.
