Man Inspires People to Fight Colon Cancer

Published: November 28, 2011

In conjunction with CTCA’s support of the Colon Cancer Alliance’s 4th annual Undy 5000 held in downtown Phoenix, Western patient Marty Cordova, who was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer, shared his personal journey with cancer, starting with a diagnosis at just 19 years old. He discussed why he decided to treat at CTCA and how his care team and the Stakeholders at CTCA have become his extended family. Western's Dr. Jeffrey Weber also discussed the importance of early detection, the genetic component to colon cancer and how this increases a person’s risk of getting the disease and CTCA’s unique, integrated treatment model.
