Colorectal Cancer Doctors & Practitioners

Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) provides a comprehensive approach to colorectal cancer treatment. This means when you receive colorectal cancer treatment, you will benefit from the expertise of a multidisciplinary team of cancer doctors and medical practitioners.

For conventional colorectal cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy, your team of expert cancer doctors may include a medical oncologist, as well as a surgical and/or radiation oncologist.

You will also meet with practitioners who specialize in complementary therapies. Our complementary and alternative medicines can help lessen treatment-related side effects and improve your quality of life throughout your colorectal cancer treatment and beyond. Depending on your unique preferences and your specific colorectal cancer symptoms, your complementary medicine options could include everything from nutrition and naturopathy to mind-body medicine, oncology rehabilitation, pain management, spiritual support, and more.

Your entire CTCA care team of cancer doctors and practitioners will meet each week to evaluate and discuss how your colorectal cancer treatment is progressing. Through regular communication, your care team ensures that all of your needs are addressed. This collaborative environment allows our colorectal cancer experts to leverage their combined knowledge and skills to improve the overall quality of your cancer care.

At CTCA, you will also be assigned a care manager (a registered nurse) who will follow you throughout your entire colorectal cancer treatment—from your initial visit to our cancer hospital and throughout your aftercare (once your treatment is complete). Your personal care manager will be available at all times to offer assistance and address any of your questions or concerns.
