Colorectal Cancer Chiropractic Care & Techniques | CTCA

Learn More About Chiropractic Care During Colorectal Cancer: Chat with Us | Email Us

One of the many supportive therapies Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) offers you and your caregiver is chiropractic care.

Chiropractors use a natural, non-invasive technique known as manipulation to correct bone, muscle and joint problems. Applying gentle pressure, our licensed chiropractors use their hands to make small adjustments to realign the spine, knees, ankles, hands, feet or other joints.

When used during your colorectal cancer therapy, chiropractic treatment may help to:

  • Restore nerve function (e.g., peripheral neuropathy)
  • Improve mobility and range of motion
  • Ease anxiety, tension and/or headaches
  • Alleviate nausea
  • Reduce sciatic nerve pain
  • Alleviate back and neck pain

Is Chiropractic Treatment Right for You?

To ensure chiropractic care can be safely integrated into your colorectal cancer therapy plan, one of our chiropractors will review:

  • Your medical records
  • Your most recent diagnostic tests
  • Your medical history

He or she will also receive clearance from your oncologist(s) at CTCA. If your chiropractor and oncologist(s) deem it appropriate for you to receive chiropractic treatment, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation with the chiropractor.

Your chiropractor will evaluate your spine and posture, talk with you about symptoms you are experiencing and help you develop a chiropractic treatment plan.

After you have completed treatment for colorectal cancer, your chiropractor can arrange for you to continue chiropractic care near your home.
