At CTCA, a team of experienced doctors and other clinical practitioners will work with you to develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan for colorectal cancer that is tailored to your needs.
Several people will make up your treatment team:
- When you come to CTCA, you will meet with a medical oncologist in order to evaluate your situation, learn about your treatment options and plan the best treatment for your individual needs. You may also meet with a surgical oncologist and radiation oncologist to learn more about specific treatment options.
- In addition to meeting with your oncologist(s), you will meet with other practitioners that specialize in complementary therapies such as nutrition, naturopathy, mind-body medicine, physical therapy, pain management, and more.
- You will be assigned a care manager when you visit CTCA. She or he will follow you through your first visit, treatment process and survivorship. If you have any questions or concerns throughout your relationship with CTCA, you can contact your care manager at any time.
