A Phase III, Multicenter Trial, Placebo-controlled, Double-blind, Randomized Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy of Bevacizumab in Combination with Tarceva (Erlotinib) Compared with Tarceva Alone for Treatment of Advanced NSCLC After Failure of Standard First-Line Chemotherapy.

Summary

This study is being conducted to determine whether the combination of Tarceva and Bevacizumab will prolong survival when given to patients with previously treated stage IIIB/IV lung cancer compared with Tarceva alone. This study may also help in learning whether the combination of Tarceva and Bevacizumab may further slow tumor growth or shrink tumors in patients with lung cancer compared with Tarceva alone.

Requirements

Patients are eligible for this second-line therapy study if they have advanced non-small cell lung cancer following standard first-line chemotherapy.

Other eligibility requirements as determined by the reasearch protocol and assessed by the principal investigator for the study.
