Symptoms of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
The symptoms of chronic myeloid leukemia may vary. Some common symptoms are as follows:
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Decrease in appetite
- Easy bleeding or bruising
- Night sweats
- Frequent infections
- Pressure under the lower left ribs (caused by a swollen spleen)
- Petechiae (tiny red marks on the skin)
Some of the symptoms of chronic myeloid leukemia are similar to those of the flu. However, the symptoms of CML are persistent. If you suspect you may have CML, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible. In some cases, symptoms of CML do not begin until the disease has progressed.
NOTE: These symptoms may be attributed to a number of conditions other than cancer. It is important to consult with a medical professional for an accurate diagnosis.
