Belonging to a group of artificially produced pure antibodies (also known as monoclonal antibodies), Campath® is indicated for the treatment of patients with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), whose disease has progressed despite treatment with alkylating agents and fludarabine therapy.
For patients with this distinct form of leukemia, Campath® has been shown to target CD52, a distinct and harmful protein, by triggering the body's own immune system in order to target and destroy cancer cells. Campath® is the first monoclonal antibody approved by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of patients with B-CLL.
At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), your team of cancer specialists will work together to determine if Campath® is the right treatment option for you. Our unique, individualized approach to cancer treatment ensures that you remain well informed regarding the expectations associated with Campath®, as well as all other treatment options.
