Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa is kicking off the new year with the launch of a surgical expansion, announced on the heels of a newly completed inpatient pharmacy expansion. Together the projects will add approximately 14,000 square feet to the regional cancer hospital at 10109 E. 79th St.
The 4,145-square-foot surgery expansion project will begin this month to create a third surgical room and a minor procedure room and enlarge the two endoscopy and one bronchoscopy suites. Additionally, 2,898 square feet of space in the existing surgery department will be renovated.
The surgery renovation and expansion are estimated to cost approximately $3.1 million. PSA-Dewberry Inc. is the project architect, and Oakridge Builders will manage construction. The estimated completion date has not yet been determined.
In December, CTCA completed an expansion of its inpatient pharmacy on the hospital's second floor.
