This article features five-year kidney and colon cancer survivor, Reed Patteson, who was honored at Celebrate Life at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill. From his first day of treatment, Patteson dreamt of the day that his name would be on the tree of life. As part of the Celebrate Life ceremony, 105 trees were planted in the Zion area to honor and commemorate the spirit of the celebrants and their bravery.The article is accompanied by a photograph of Patteson planting a tree to commemorate his five years as a cancer survivor.
