This article features Lori Warchol, a ten-year ovarian cancer survivor who returned to Cancer Treatment Centers of America® at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion to attend Celebrate Life®, an event held to honor five-year cancer survivors. Warchol was the honorary emcee for the event. Reflecting on her fight against cancer, Warchol says, “I remember the overwhelmingly caring doctors, nurses and staff. I was treated with care, respect and hope.” As part of the Celebrate Life ceremony, 105 trees were planted in the Zion area to honor and commemorate the spirit of the celebrants and their bravery.
