This article features the newest addition to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center mind-body medicine department -- animal-assisted therapy. The animal-assisted therapy program included visits from Tori, a one-year-old Australian labradoodle therapy dog, that provide patients and their loved ones with comfort, relief and distraction from pain, discomfort and stress.
