Survivorship Support for Brain Cancer

Once your brain cancer treatment is complete, the therapies you received may affect your health for some time. You may also experience psychological and emotional effects of the disease, including concerns about recurrence.

The Survivorship Support Program at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is designed to help you maintain your health and improve your quality of life once your hospital treatment is complete.

Follow-up Care & Support

Led by a registered nurse, the brain cancer survivorship program offers comprehensive follow-up care to address your needs on many levels—body, mind and spirit.

Once your treatment is complete, your survivorship nurse will work with you to assess your health and identify potential late or long-term effects of treatment. Then, you’ll receive an individualized wellness plan that includes help with managing medications and side effects, as well as nutritional, physical and emotional education and support.

As part of our cancer survivor support services, we also provide follow-up visits. They will typically occur more often at first and then less frequently. During these visits, your oncologists will perform imaging tests, such as MRI scans, to stay on top of any recurrence and determine if or when further treatment is needed.
