Brain cancer diagnostics and treatment

At each of our hospitals, you'll find innovative brain cancer treatments and technologies—all under one roof. Our brain cancer experts use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including advanced imaging and laboratory tests, to evaluate brain cancer. This diagnostic evaluation takes about three to five days.

Then together, we develop a comprehensive brain cancer treatment plan that works for you. Your individualized plan will include advanced medical treatments and technologies, combined with integrative oncology services to help reduce side effects and keep you strong in body, mind and spirit.

Our brain cancer experts

If you have primary or metastatic brain or spinal cord cancer, it’s important to be seen by an integrated team of physicians with expertise in performing cancer-related surgical procedures on the nervous system and its supporting structures, including the brain, spinal cord and column, and peripheral nerves.

At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), you’ll have a dedicated team of oncologists, neurosurgeons and other specialists, all of whom reside in our hospital and regularly discuss your treatment plan. Your care team may include the following clinicians:

  • Neurosurgeon
  • Neurologist
  • Medical oncologist
  • Radiation oncologist
  • Anesthesiologist
  • Dietitian
  • Naturopathic clinician
  • Pain management practitioner
  • Rehabilitation therapist
  • Mind-body therapist
  • Pastoral care provider

Your care team meets each week to discuss the progression of your treatment as it relates to your specific medical, nutritional, emotional and spiritual needs. This allows our brain cancer experts to share in your progress and improve the quality of your treatment and care.

You will also be assigned a personal care manager (a registered nurse) who will follow you from your first visit to our hospital, throughout your brain cancer treatment, and after treatment is complete.
